Regina Zopf, MD, MPH

Hi, I’m Dr. Regina Zopf, a board-certified OB-Gyn, licensed acupuncturist, and Certified Yoga Teacher. I created Helix Health as a quiet, grounded space for women to reconnect with their bodies and to find support in through all stages of life - from fertility, to pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause and beyond.

With over 20 years experience in women’s health, I have come to deeply value the connection between science and intuition, structure and softness, medicine and mindfulness. My approach is integrative and collaborative, blending my background in Western medicine with the subtle, time honored tools of acupuncture, breath, movement and rest.

Whether you are receiving acupuncture for hormonal balance or attending a quiet evening yoga class, my intention is the same: to offer care that is both clinically informed and deeply human. My work is about supporting the body’s own intelligence - gently, respectfully, and at your own pace.

The Healing Space

The Helix Health Studio is located just off Sligo Creek Parkway in a garden-level space that reflects the values I bring to this work: groundedness, privacy, and quiet restoration. The nourishing presence of the forest and nearby creek invite stillness and reflection, encouraging deep rest and reconnection. Invite yourself to lock in your healing and convene with nature after your yoga and healing session by walking along the creek.

Why Helix?

The Helix is the shape of our universe. It is a pattern often repeated through the natural world and can also be a paradigm for a path of deep learning. We are constantly in a dynamic balance between health and disease whether from internal or external sources. We can accept that healing is never complete and instead is a lifelong process. Through learning and connection, we can continuously deepen healing of mind, body, and spirit, supporting the movement of energy (Qi) and health.

Acupuncture and the Five elements Philosophy are ancient traditions. They apply nature as a paradigm to the human body. This system of health recognizes that we each have a universal energy that we are born with. When in a state of health, the energies of yin (from the earth) and yang (from the heavens) are in balance and the organ systems (representing elements of nature) can function in an optimal state. Applying the philosophies of Five Elements and using needles as an external tool can provide us a with a connection to the natural world around us and to understand our place in it. It can also help us to achieve a deeper understanding of how to live in a way that is in synchronicity with optimal health. Not just for ourselves, but also for the environment around us.
